Best NFL Player Props for Week 2

NFL WEEK 2 PLAYER PROPS

Garrett Wilson running with the football at Ohio State

With week 2 approaching, let's go over the three best player props you can make for NFL Sunday right now. Read below to find out who I am targeting this week.

Zay Flowers OVER 4.5 Receptions (-125)

Game: Raiders @ Ravens (-8)

Time/Channel: 10:00 am PT/ CBS

Zay Flowers is in a good spot to go over his receptions line in week two. Last week against the Chiefs, Flowers had 6 catches for 37 yards on 10 targets. While his final stat line wasn’t all that impressive, Flowers has clearly established himself as the number one wide receiver in this offense, as he led all receivers in snap share (89%) and targets (10). His receptions line holds value this week because against the Chiefs, the Ravens were clearly trying to get Zay Flowers the ball with a bunch of short passes and designed wide receiver screens. Flowers is incredibly quick and athletic, so offensive coordinator Todd Monken has made a point to feed Flowers the ball early and let him make defenders miss and gain extra yards after the catch. Since Flowers is being heavily involved in the short passing game, it makes more sense to go with his receptions over yards, since we can count on him being targeted and catching passes, whereas his yardage numbers could end up being extremely volatile. Bet on Zay Flowers to go over 4.5 receptions on Sunday.

Garrett Wilson OVER 69.5 Receiving Yards (-110)

Game: Jets @ Titans (+3.5)

Time/Channel: 10:00 am PT/ CBS

Garret Wilson started his season against the 49ers with a solid performance, as he ended up with 6 catches for 60 yards in the Jets opening week loss. Despite the loss and mediocre performance, there are plenty of reasons to be optimistic about Garrett Wilson going forward. Aaron Rodgers was clearly looking for Wilson on Monday Night, as Rodgers targeted Wilson 10 times on 21 throws, which is exceptionally high volume at around 48% target share with Rodgers at QB. Additionally the 49ers had the ball for over 38 minutes in this game, almost twice as much as the Jets, which really limited the Jets offensive opportunities, as they only ran 49 plays. This line is too low for Wilson considering the amount of volume we can expect to come his way. While the Titans' defense was impressive last week in their performance against Caleb Williams, I don’t want to overreact to a subpar showing from a rookie quarterback in his first NFL start. Historically, Rodgers loves to target his number one receivers and that was evident in the season opener with Wilson. Not to mention this was Rodgers first game back since tearing his achilles, as he settles in the Rodgers to Wilson connection should only continue to blossom. Look for Garret Wilson to have a big day on Sunday.

Cooper Kupp OVER 7.5 Receptions (-120)

Game: Cardinals @ Rams (+1.5)

Time/Channell: 1:05 pm PT/ FOX

Cooper Kupp looked like his old self on Sunday Night against the Lions, as he seems to have fully recovered from the slew of injuries he has been dealing with over the last couple of seasons. After wide receiver Puka Nucua exited the game in the first half with a knee injury, Kupp completely took over the Rams offense with 14 catches for 109 yards and a touchdown. Not to mention that Stafford targeted Kupp 21 times, which is insanely high volume. The key moving forward is that Nacua has been placed on IR for his knee injury, leaving Kupp as the clear-cut number one receiver in this offense. Last year Kupp’s numbers took a bit of a dip with the emergence of Nacua as a viable option in the offense, but with Nacua out for the foreseeable future, Kupp is going to be catching a lot of passes from quarterback Matthew Stafford. In 2022 before he got injured in week 10, Kupp averaged 9 receptions and 102 yards per game. Combine this elite volume with the fact that the Rams facing the Arizona Cardinals who have one of the NFL’s worst defenses, makes it difficult to see how Kupp doesn’t go over this line on Sunday. This will probably be the last time we see Kupp’s reception line this low for a while, so get it while you still can.

All of these will be tracked as OFFICIAL BETS for NFL Week 2.
