NFL WEEK 1 PLAYER PROPS

The first NFL Sunday of the season is finally here. We are locked and loaded with 3 player props for Sunday's slate that we love. Read below to start out your 2024-2025 NFL Season with 3 easy winners.

WEEK 1 PLAYER PROPS

Josh Palmer OVER 49.5 Receiving Yards

Josh Palmer takes over as the wide receiver 1 in the Chargers offense after both starting wide receivers, Keenan Allen and Mike Williams, left for different teams in the offseason. Palmer played 3 games at the end of last season without both Allen and Williams, in which he averaged 68 yards per game. This was despite QB Justin Herbert being injured, so he was catching passes from QB Easton Stick which makes his production even more impressive. With Herbert under center and no clear competition for targets in the Chargers wide receiver room, this line is simply way too low. As the season goes on I'd expect this line to continue to rise as Palmer solidifies himself as Herbert's new favorite target.

Khalil Shakir OVER 43.5 Receiving Yards

Khalil Shakir is in a similar position to Josh Palmer, as the Bills lost both Stefon Diggs and Gabriel Davis in the offseason. This leaves the Bills WR position group extremely thin. The Bills drafted Keon Coleman with the 33rd overall pick in the NFL Draft, and brought in Curtis Samuel and Marquez Valdes-Scantling to help solidify their WR group. Even with these new additions, I expect Khalil Shakir to lead the Bills in receiving yards. He has chemistry and experience playing with Josh Allen, and should see a massive increase in his target share with both Diggs and Davis’s departures. Beat reporters have talked about how Shakir has had a really impressive training camp, and have hinted that Shakir is Allen’s new favorite target.  With all of this considered, this line is too low for Shakir given the role I expect him to play on this team. Bet Shakir to go OVER 43.5 receiving yards.

Jayden Daniels OVER 39.5 Rushing Yards

This line is priced far too low for Jayden Daniels. He averaged 94.5 rushing yards per game last year at LSU and ran for over 100 yards four times. While there isn’t any data to go off when it comes to his NFL production, I expect Jayden Daniels to continue to produce on the ground in the NFL. Additionally, Tampa Bay frequently brought pressure to opposing quarterbacks last year, which should force Daniels out of the pocket and give him plenty of rushing lanes. This may be the last time that sports books release Daniels’ rushing line at a number below 40 yards. Bet his over on rushing yards on Sunday at a discounted line before it is too late.
